The Manchester United striker’s future at Old Trafford is in doubt after struggling for playing time during last season and the Nerazzurri have been linked with interest.
For the club’s first signing of the summer, also from United, the Mexican would be a useful addition.
“These are things that the directors take care of, whilst it is clear that Chicharito could suit any club and he would be welcomed here with open arms,” Vidic has commented to reporters this week.
The defender was talking as Inter begin the second stage of their pre-season with a tour of the United States.
“It's amazing to be here in the States. I can't wait for the International Champions Cup to start so that we can tackle some other big European clubs.
“Mazzarri is a great manager who gets you working hard. It's a pleasure to have him as coach. I settled in at Inter immediately.
“The feelings are good, we come from two weeks of hard work, and as far as I am concerned there is an improvement in condition and an understanding with my teammates.
“Then, what matters is the response in the field and in this sense the friendlies ahead of us are perfect.
“We are focused on this group, to overcome the Europa League Play-offs – it is not the Champions League but it is still a European competition full of good teams.”
