Napoli have posted a tribute to defender Kim Min-jae on social media following the official announcement of his transfer to Bayern Munich on Tuesday afternoon.
The South Korea international has left Napoli after Bayern triggered the release clause in his contract, which was set at €50m.
Kim joined the Partenopei from Fenerbahce just one year ago, immediately establishing himself as a key component of Luciano Spaletti’s defensive line, helping the team on their way to their first Serie A title in over 30 years.
Shortly after the announcement arrived from Bayern on Tuesday afternoon, Napoli released a short montage of clips on twitter and instagram showcasing Kim’s best moments from the 2022-23 season, ending with a winner’s medal being placed around his neck.
Napoli accompanied the video with the caption: “The duration of the journey doesn’t matter, it’s what we have experienced together that does. Thanks Min-jae.”
