The local health authority banned the Nerazzurri from travelling abroad last week and Saturday's game against Sassuolo was postponed after four cases of COVID had emerged among the team.
However, today’s swab tests came back negative and Inter's players were given the all-clear to resume training at Appiano Gentile, while foreign players were allowed to leave.
The players travelling abroad must do it by private planes, train at the sports centre and return to their residence.
Croatia, Slovakia, Denmark and Belgium have requested authorisation to let Marcelo Brozovic, Ivan Perisic, Milan Skriniar, Christian Eriksen and Romelu Lukaku leave.
The former Manchester United striker arrived in Belgium today and will presumably train with his national team starting from tomorrow.
On paper, he would not be allowed to play games, but from now on, the Belgian health authorities are in charge, and it seems unrealistic that he won’t be allowed to play for his country.
Meanwhile, Inter’s Italy internationals are still waiting for approval to travel to Coverciano and join the Italy squad.
