Interest from Italy in Marco Verratti has been turned away this month, with there ‘never the possibility’ of a move, according to his agent.
The midfielder has been consistently linked with a possible move back to the peninsula ever since his 2012 transfer from Pescara to current side Paris Saint-Germain.
However, whilst the Parisians yesterday wrapped up a deal for Yohan Cabaye, the suggestion of it spelling a possible exit for Verratti has been dismissed by one of his representatives.

However, whilst the Parisians yesterday wrapped up a deal for Yohan Cabaye, the suggestion of it spelling a possible exit for Verratti has been dismissed by one of his representatives.
“I believe that his return to Italy is fantasy. In Paris there is no buyout clause, no player has it in his contract,” explained Donato Di Campli this week.
“Marco is also in a great moment in France and is in very good form, he is one of the idols of the Parc des Princes.
“The arrival of Cabaye does not worry us, rather it is a useful purchase, given that in the last few games Laurent Blanc has had to adapt Javier Pastore to that role.
“There has never been the possibility of moving to Italy because PSG believes in the player and he has consistently rejected calls that have come during this month.
“The World Cup? I believe that there cannot be a World Cup without Verratti, it would be pure foolishness as he represents Italy in the Champions League with PSG’s shirt and is among the stars of Europe.”
