Marco Verratti would like to finish his career at Paris Saint-Germain, but doesn’t know if Zlatan Ibrahimovic will stay.
The Italian international joined the Ligue 1 side from Pescara in 2012, and has since become a mainstay for both PSG and the Azzurri.
“In Italy it’s difficult to leave your house,” Verratti explained to RMC Sport.
“Here, even if people love you they’re very respectful. If someone asks me for a picture, I’ll happily do it. It’s something I love doing now.

“Here, even if people love you they’re very respectful. If someone asks me for a picture, I’ll happily do it. It’s something I love doing now.
“If I feel like I do now, I don’t want to change teams because I don’t know how I’ll find it elsewhere. Of course, there are other very strong teams, but PSG can become that way too.
“I’m already playing for a great team in a great city, so I don’t see why I should leave. It’s possible that I’ll stay here for my whole career.
“When I first came here I didn’t get on too well for the first months, I found the city very big. People are very, very cold compared to Italians.
“But now I think maybe I’ll live here when I finish my career. My son was born here, I feel good in Paris.”
Paris Saint-Germain’s star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is out of contract at the end of the season, with his agent suggesting he could return to Milan, but Verratti doesn’t know what the Swedish international is planning to do.
“I always tell him to stay, but he never answers!” the 23-year-old laughed.
“He and the club will see. I, like all my teammates, want him to stay because he’s had an extraordinary season. I don’t see anyone stronger than him.
“He’ll make a decision soon.”
Finally, Verratti discussed the Coupe de France final, which sees PSG face arch-rivals Marseille.
“In the semi-final against Sochaux, I was supporting Marseille because I wanted to play a top team in the final.
“There’s a lot of rivalry with Paris, we feel it during the week and we want to make our fans happy. I hope they’ll be more happy to win against Marseille than Sochaux.
“We have to win first though, and it’ll be a tough game. That’s our last objective, it’s true that we were knocked out of the Champions League but we’ve won everything in France.
“Everyone says it’s easy, but that’s not true. It’s been a season with great calmness and professionalism. We won the League with eight games to spare, that wasn’t easy.
“The Champions League? I hope to win it with PSG one day. That’s my objective, because we’ve already won everything in France.
“It’s very important to go further in the Champions League, that’s what we have to do more in the coming years.”
