“We’re disappointed about this situation, but we must take note of it, assuming our responsibilities and giving a response,” sporting director Filippo Fusco told ItaSportPress.
“We’re reflecting on the situation of the Coach. We’re all under discussion, including the players and I.
“We’re evaluating the possibility of going ‘in ritiro’. Everyone must assume their responsibilities because our performance was unacceptable and didn’t reflect the true value of our players.”
A ‘ritiro’ is essentially a punitive training camp, where the players stay together before and after training, in an effort to focus their minds.
