Andrea Mandorlini thanked Verona for backing him even after a dismal start to the season.
Hellas are the only side without a win so far in Serie A and were beaten 2-0 at home by Fiorentina this evening.
“Mandorlini is with us, he is relaxed and has our utmost faith,” President Maurizio Setti told Mediaset Premium.
“It takes a calm head and we must ponder situations carefully. At this moment, we must focus on getting players back from injury. We’re missing 10 elements at the moment and they are in all honesty very important for us.”
The injury crisis ruled out the likes of Luca Toni, Giampaolo Pazzini and Emil Hallfredsson, all key figures.
“We have some problems, it’s true, but I’d like to see how the other teams would handle missing Toni, Romulo and Pazzini,” Coach Mandorlini told Radio Rai.
“It is a moment of emergency, but we are giving it everything we’ve got. I am in constant contact with the club and we remain united. I thank the President for his faith in me.
“We know all too well that there is a lot at stake in Sunday’s game with Carpi. We don’t deserve to be in this situation.”
