And after rumours that Napoli were interested in his services earlier this week, the centre-back’s representative has admitted that several Serie A teams have been in touch.
“Many Italian clubs have shown an interest,” Alex Kroes told La Repubblica.
“But we’ll have to wait until after the World Cup to discuss Thomas’ future.”
