Despite finishing last season in seventh place Il Toro qualified for the tournament thanks to Parma’s failure to get a European licence due to unpaid taxes.
And even in the face of the furore that followed, the Coach wants the game in Sweden to be the beginning of a thrilling adventure.
“There is nothing in particular that I will have to say to the players,” he told a Press conference.
“We hope this game is the start of something special that can give great pleasure to the fans.
“This is great for us, but it’s going to be difficult because they’ll come at us with plenty of enthusiasm.
“I don’t know much about Swedish football and Brommapojkarna. But I have studied them carefully ahead of this match.
“They are a team with a lot of young players, so we have to be careful. If they are here, it’s because they have earned it.”
