Athletic Bilbao Coach Ernesto Valverde warned “nothing has been decided” after a 2-2 draw at Torino.
The two away goals put the Basque side in a great position to qualify ahead of next Thursday’s second leg tie.
“This draw is a good result, but nothing has been decided yet,” Valverde told reporters.
“We were fortunate and had several chances to win it, but are happy anyway. We played on a par with Torino.

“We were fortunate and had several chances to win it, but are happy anyway. We played on a par with Torino.
“The changes I made gave us the opportunity to get an equaliser. We changed our style because in the first half we were really under pressure from Ventura’s side.
“It was important to score two goals and I’d say all four goals tonight were down to the quality of the team rather than mistakes from opponents.
“Torino have a very good defence and we hope to put in a good performance for the second leg that will allow us to qualify.
“Speaking frankly, we have a better chance of going through, but there are no certainties in football.”
