Athletic Bilbao Coach Ernesto Valverde notes Napoli “have no choice but to score” at the San Mames.

The first leg at the San Paolo ended 1-1, so the Partenopei need to score at least once to qualify for the Champions League proper.

“I think we are capable of knocking Napoli out. We are ready to go through, but it all depends on tomorrow’s result,” said Valverde in his Press conference.

“It is easy to prepare a game like this and considering we are inaugurating the new San Mames it is further motivation.

“It’s like a Final tomorrow and we will try to experience it the same way we did against Sevilla last season.

“We are in better shape than last week, having the experience of the first leg, but we’re well aware of the quality of football Napoli can show.

“It’s difficult that a team can dominate both legs of a tie. At the San Paolo we went through a tough moment after their goal. We know Napoli are strong, which is why we must take advantage of any opportunities we get and be careful in defence.

“The 1-1 result means Napoli have no choice but to score a goal. We’ve never had a 0-0 at the San Mames, so we will try to play in our usual style and ensure our approach wins out.

“I don’t know what Napoli will do to mark Muniain, but we don’t have any secrets and neither do they. Iker can draw defenders to him and open up space for his teammates.”

Lorenzo Insigne started the first leg, but Dries Mertens is expected to play instead.

“They are two players who are very good at attacking the space and dribbling,” added Valverde. “Mertens also has a great shot from distance, so we’ll be wary of him.”
