President Aurelio De Laurentiis declared in an interview with the Corriere dello Sport that he had asked to move the games away from the Stadio San Paolo, insisting he’d pay for buses to take fans to Bari.

However, Paul Joyce of British newspaper The Times has been in contact with the governing body, who insist they’ve received no such request.

The Partenopei are in open conflict with the Naples city council about the stadium, which is owned by the municipality.

De Laurentiis bought Bari this summer, a deal which included the Stadio San Nicola.
