According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, there was dispute between club President Silvio Berlusconi and CEO Adriano Galliani about the length of his contract.
Berlusconi favoured sacking Mihajlovic immediately and giving Brocchi a contract of one year and two months, while Galliani wanted to stick with Miha until the end of the season.
Davide Lippi was reportedly at Milanello after training today to confirm the contract, which is a compromise agreement of two months, with a review at the end of the season.
The Rossoneri have six Serie A games remaining, and will contest the Coppa Italia final against Juventus at the end of May.
Brocchi will be presented tomorrow, and Berlusconi is not expected to be in attendance.
