New Udinese Coach Igor Tudor says it was ‘important to get something’ after today’s 3-3 draw at Benevento ended a run of 11 consecutive defeats.
The Bianconeri conceded a late equaliser to Serie A’s bottom club, who are already relegated and played for most of the second half with 10 men.
However, the former Juventus defender chose to take the positives from his first match in charge, which at least saw the end of their club record run of losses.

“This is how football is. Sometimes these things happen,” Tudor told reporters.
“For us it was important to get something on the board. To get a point at a place where Juve found it difficult, against a team that beat Milan, is okay.
“There were only five minutes left, but it was important to put on a good performance.
“We take this point and we look forward. After 11 straight defeats it’s normal that there was a depression and a lot of thoughts.
“I have worked on those things, as well as the desire to play and have the ball.
“I think we put in a good performance and we will prepare well for the home match against Inter.
“There were things that I liked today, other things that I didn’t like. After four days, that’s normal.”
Following today’s results, Udinese are three points above the relegation zone with three matches of the season remaining.
