According to Tuttosport newspaper, Juventus are unlikely to appoint Zizou Zidane if Massimiliano Allegri leaves, as the club are looking for a coach who can develop young players coming from the NextGen squad.
Zidane, a former Juventus star, made Bianconeri fans dream on Monday night, refusing to rule out a return to Serie A while one of his friends had previously claimed that the 1998 France World Cup winner would prefer the Juventus job to Bayern Munich.
However, according to Tuttosport, Juventus are unlikely to hire the ex-Real Madrid star and coach.
This is mainly due to the Bianconeri’s long-term plan, so any potential replacement of Allegri would be a coach who would work on developing young players, especially those coming from the NextGen, Juventus’ second team playing in Serie C.
On the other hand, Zidane is accustomed to having teams with already established players, so he may not be the right candidate to replace Allegri.
However, Juventus are not considering parting company with the Italian tactician and will sit down to discuss a contract extension beyond 2025 in the coming weeks.
