David Trezeguet hails Mario Balotelli’s “undisputed quality” and “symbol of football” Francesco Totti.
Balotelli has moved to Nice after a difficult spell at Liverpool, and started with a bang when he scored two goals against Marseille on his debut.
“He’s an extraordinary player,” Trezeguet said on Tiki Taka.
“For me, his quality is undisputed. I hope he can get back to high levels, he’s chosen a place that lives football in a very intense way and he began well in an important game like the one with Marseille.”
Trezeguet is a former Juventus player, but that didn’t stop him praising Roma’s legendary captain Francesco Totti.
“I can only compliment him, he’s given a lot to Roma. [Coach Luciano] Spalletti has said he’s training well and wants to continue giving everything for Roma and their fans.
“He’s an example for the youngsters, he has the respect of everyone and on the day he stops the Italian League will definitely lose one of the last symbols of football.”
