Pablo Osvaldo has hailed Roma teammate Francesco Totti as a man and a player. “He’s a great.”
The Giallorossi captain inspired his team to an impressive 3-1 win at Inter in Week 2 with some sublime vision and assists.
“Francesco is a great for me,” the centre-forward noted. “First of all as a person and then as a player.
“There is little to add when discussing his ability, everyone can see it. He’s the best I’ve ever played alongside.
“He sees things that us mere mortals don’t. It’s so easy to play when he is there in the team with you.”
Osvaldo has started the season with two goals in two games after a summer in which he was rumoured to be available for transfer.
“I’m happy in Rome and I don’t think the club wanted to sell me,” he added. “It’s certainly nice to be linked with prestigious clubs, but I’m only thinking of Roma.”
Asked about his team’s title chances, Osvaldo was keeping his feet on the ground. “It’s too soon to talk about the Scudetto. The first 10 games will give us an indication of what we are fighting for.”
