Tottenham Hotspur dropped a not so subtle hint they are preparing a January swoop for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie.
The social media account wished good luck to England players Harry Kane and Eric Dier ahead of this evening’s World Cup match against the USA.
Notably, the image they used to represent the match had pictures of Dier on one side and USMNT midfielder McKennie on the other.
It is hardly the first time Spurs have been linked with McKennie, having already shown an interest over the summer.
There are strong reports they will try again in the January transfer window, especially as McKennie is no longer in coach Max Allegri’s plans.
The 24-year-old made 16 appearances for the Bianconeri this season between Serie A and the Champions League, contributing three goals and one assist.
Juve are hoping to sell him for circa €25-30m and trust Tottenham will be prepared to pay that sum.
Grazie paratici if it’s come true
Great news – please go.
