Sampdoria have officially organised their Europa League preliminary round home tie at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin.
This is the home venue for Serie A side Torino.
The Blucerchiati were only able to register for a UEFA licence by naming an alternative arena, as the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa – commonly known as Marassi – failed to reach the standard set for European competition.
It is also currently undergoing work on the playing surface.

City rivals Genoa forgot to name another stadium and were consequently denied a UEFA licence, ruling them out of the Europa League.
In fact, Sampdoria only got into the tournament because of Genoa’s exclusion.
