Torino are reportedly closing on a deal with West Ham United for Nikola Vlasic, who has expressed his desire to make the loan spell permanent.

The 25-year-old spent last term with Toro, scoring five goals and providing eight assists in 37 appearances between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Vlasic has repeatedly stated he wants to stay with the Granata, who in turn protested that the €13m asking price was excessive.

According to Tuttosport, the Serie A side increased their offer to €9m and are getting closer to an agreement, along with the Hammers reducing their demands to €12m plus bonuses.

The newspaper maintains a deal could be achieved for €10m plus various add-ons and performance-related bonuses.

Vlasic has 50 senior caps under his belt for Croatia, scoring seven goals.

He plays in a trequartista role behind the striker, on the right or left of a trident attack.

West Ham paid €30m to sign him from CSKA Moscow in the summer of 2021.
