The Montenegrin saw a proposed switch out to the Nerazzurri in exchange for Fredy Guarin break down last week at the last moment, due to Inter President Thohir’s late intervention.
However, with the Indonesian in Milan this week for a series of meetings, reports are that talks for Vucinic are back on, amid Thohir’s reported attempts this morning to ease relations with Juventus.
Arriving at today’s meeting between the League’s referees, captains and club leaders, Beppe Marotta and Marco Fassone were asked on the rumours.
“Thohir is dealing first hand in the affairs and business with Juve,” responded Marotta to SportMediaset.
“Is Thohir mending relations? I do not know, these are things that the Presidents must assess between themselves,” Fasson then responded.
“I do not know where we stand. Is Vucinic up for negotiation? I do not know, this is something the President is addressing directly, he will speak about him to Juventus.
“We regret the falling out, but everyone who does my job knows that this is part of the game, I have to have broad shoulders and continue to follow objectives.
“Do I want to leave? No, everyone is doing their job.”
Whilst Juve indicated that they would not be willing to re-open negotiations with Inter in reaction to how talks ended, reports suggest Vucinic could see prospects of his San Siro switch re-emerge.
It is understood that Juve would be willing to consider moving out the No 9 and to the Nerazzurri, should relations improve between the clubs and Inter were to provide a cash-only offer.
