“I'm extremely proud to have this opportunity to congratulate our boys for their brilliant performances and tenacity in winning the Viareggio Cup,” Thohir has said, in a statement released on the club's official site.
“They performed magnificently and so did Stefano Vecchi. The Coach has shown himself to be highly capable when it comes to nurturing the talents of these lads.
“I follow our youth academy closely and with great interest. It is recognised as a centre of excellence both in Italy and abroad and we are extremely proud of its achievements.
“This is the seventh time Inter have won the Viareggio Tournament and the 38th trophy overall for our youth academy.
“For that reason I would like to congratulate Roberto Samaden, our academy director, and all the other people who work alongside him on a daily basis to obtain successes like today's and know that they will continue to build a great future for this club.
“Inter place a lot of emphasis on youth and there are big opportunities here for young players who are talented and can prove themselves.
“Our boys know that and it's lovely to see them fighting for something they believe in and showing off their talents at Inter. We have a wonderful future together.”
