Erick Thohir has claimed that Inter will ‘buy with care’ this summer, and admits that the Nerazzurri are ‘in transition’.
The Indonesian businessman took charge of the San Siro side at the end of last year, and has gone on record to state that he will stump up the cash for new squad members next season.
However, the tycoon has insisted that he will attempt to be careful in the transfer market.
“We are in transition,” he is reported as saying by goal.com. “We have to buy, but we have to be careful as well.
“Regardless, we already have players who I would consider as the backbone of the squad: Handanovic, Juan Jesus, Vidic, Hernanes, Kovacic, Palacio and Icardi.
“We will act with intelligence and care, and add to the squad that way. In some areas we’re weak, but in others we’re really strong.
“We want some sort of balance – both tactically and in terms of age.
“I don’t want to mention any names because that wouldn’t be good for Inter.”
