The Argentine forward, City’s top goal-scorer in each of the previous two seasons, was talking having failed to leave the English side during the January transfer window.
Linked with Inter and Paris Saint-Germain, Tevez failed to secure a move after a transfer fee could not be agreed with his desired option Milan. The Rossoneri reportedly wanted the player on loan, City were keen for a full sale.
“I think this situation has become almost comical,” spouted Tevez to Kicker magazine. “I wanted to leave City and I had offers from other clubs, both from Italy and Spain.
“But in the end it all collapsed because City rejected every offer they received. They say I cost a fortune and they do not sell me, not even give me a loan.
“I really have no idea what will happen in the coming months.”
The 27-year-old revealed that he had written to the club to request that he be sold in the winter transfer market.
“I sent a letter to the club in which I said I wanted to leave. In recent days I also contacted the Premier League to appeal the fine imposed on me by City.
“Now I’m waiting for a response. Talking to the League is my only option at this time.”
City have reportedly fined the player more than €10m during his self-imposed exile in Argentina and are set to fine him again for failing to return at the end of January.
“There were offers from Milan, Inter and Paris Saint-Germain. But in the end they have done nothing.
“Although there was interest, and these people wanted to see me play football again.”
The Argentine international hinted that he will look into ways to return to playing between now and the summer transfer window.
“Of course there were personal aspects to this story. I wanted to be closer to my children who live in Argentina. So I took the situation to hand.
“Now I must talk with the management at City. Let’s see what happens. Of course I would return to play football, but at this time, I have to settle for playing golf, or taking part in testimonials, such as my friend Martin Palermo’s one.”
