“Florence is always special for me and I consider it my second home,” current Galatasaray boss Terim told Radio Blu.

“I have such great memories and remain in contact with many friends from Florence. They have a young side and I saw them play in a pre-season friendly in Istanbul. Vincenzo Montella is doing a great job and I always keep track of the Viola.”

Terim was Fiorentina Coach in 2000-01, earning him a job at Milan, though he only lasted until November 2001 before being replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.

“I will certainly be watching Sunday’s game, as I am sure it will be a wonderful match between two teams who are growing towards the end of the season.

“I really hope Fiorentina can reach the Champions League, as they certainly deserve it at the club and in the city. If not this year, then the next.”
