The Rossoneri, who briefly worked under Terim’s lead over a decade ago, are currently rebuilding under their new tactician, former midfielder Seedorf.
For the Turkish veteran, his appointment and approach so far has been correct.
“Clarence Seedorf is doing well to think big, to look for an offensive style of play, to dream of six attacking players in the field,” began Terim to the Gazzetta dello Sport today.
“They criticised me when I was playing at the same time Contra, Serginho, Rui Costa, Inzaghi and Shevchenko. But it is Italian football not to imagine.
“When Milan sold Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva, they committed to a different project. One that is less ambitious.
“Now, Berlusconi and Galliani, as two men of football, have decided to start with a young Coach who has good ideas.
“But they must have patience and protect him. Seedorf must be granted the right to make mistakes.”
The 60-year-old, who also discussed Juventus’ struggles in the Champions League, reflected on some of the players available to Seedorf this term.
“Taarabt has an exceptional talent and I like Poli a lot in the middle of the field.
“Balotelli? He is an incredible talent, he is a talent that is a rare commodity and when you come across them, you need to defend them.
“From afar Balotelli seems like a good guy. Then, I read that he is a complicated guy. But, he is only 23. Everyone, even the most strange, can still mature.
“We must keep the dialogue open, you must never close the door. It takes little to lose a man forever.”
The Rossoneri are facing a 1-0 deficit to try and overturn in the Last 16 of the Champions League away to Atletico Madrid.
“Certainly in Madrid they will need a great performance and the best Balotelli, but the Rossoneri can overturn the result.”
