Fiorentina goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu wants to play in the Champions League and win a trophy with the Viola.
The Romanian moved to the Florence club in 2014 and has since established himself as Paulo Sousa’s first choice shot-stopper.
“If you train with the best, if you play against the best, it isn’t possible to not develop even if you tried,” the 30-year-old said to Tuttosport.
“That is why I came to Italian football. I would like to play in the Champions League and win a trophy with Fiorentina.

“Going as far as we can in the Europa League, as well as the Coppa Italia, is one of our targets.”
Tatarusanu added that, though unlikely, he hopes the Viola can upset the odds to challenge for the Scudetto this season.
“In the League, other than Juventus who seem the strongest team at the moment, without discounting Napoli and Roma we are among the top teams in Serie A.
“Let’s hope it can be a year of real surprises.”
Finally, the Viola shot-stopper expressed his admiration for Juventus counterpart Gigi Buffon, describing him as one of the best in the business.
“Buffon is definitely among the best three goalkeepers in the world. For us goalkeepers there are good days and others that are less good.
“The errors a goalkeeper makes are the ones people notice first and which usually cost the most.”
