Mauro Tassotti says Milan must not give up in the Scudetto race and gives his verdict on Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Fikayo Tomori.
The Rossoneri are decimated as they face Verona at the Bentegodi today.
“Hellas are a tough team, but Milan must believe they can still fight for the title. If it weren’t for Inter’s excellent results, they would be there," Tassotti, a former Milan player and assistant coach, told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Hellas are a tough team, but Milan must believe they can still fight for the title. If it weren’t for Inter’s excellent results, they would be there," Tassotti, a former Milan player and assistant coach, told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Milan must focus on one game at a time, without looking ahead of them, but neither over their shoulders,” he continued.
“They are struggling with injuries, and it was predictable to go through a challenging moment.
“I think of Calhanoglu or Theo, who didn’t live up to expectations in the last few games. It can happen.
“Then there is Ibra, he returned after many injuries. We are talking about a man who weights almost 100kg, it’s not easy to recover the best fitness immediately.”
The Swede participated in all five nights of the Sanremo music festival this week.
“Zlatan is almost 40 and is free to manage himself. He is a super professional," Tassotti said.
"Someone may be unhappy to see him at Sanremo, but he was injured too. He could not play anyway.
“Now Milan must recover him and other key players.”
Should the Rossoneri confirm Ibra for one more season?
“It’s surprising to see what he’s done this season. He is the team’s best scorer and we would talk about incredible figures if he hadn’t missed a few penalties, so…”
How about Alessio Romagnoli? Is Fikayo Tomori destined to replace him permanently?
“Romagnoli started on the bench once, it doesn’t mean Pioli doesn’t rely on him. I understand he may be disappointed, but it’s evident Milan appreciate Romagnoli, or they wouldn’t have made him captain.
“Tomori is a fast and athletic defender. Maybe he could replace Kjaer.”
