“We will probably have a lot more space to play in than usual tonight, but Roma will too,” Tassotti told Milan Channel.
“If nobody has beaten Roma yet this season, there must be a reason. We know Francesco Totti well and he is a Champion with a capital C.”
On Wednesday night the Rossoneri qualified for the Champions League Round of 16 thanks to a 0-0 draw with Ajax, despite Riccardo Montolivo’s 22nd-minute red card.
They will face Atletico Madrid in the next phase of the tournament.
“We must be as attentive as we were on Wednesday and try to keep that level of focus we had when 10 against 11,” continued Max Allegri’s assistant.
“It is very difficult to think the draw went well, because every team in this round is very strong. We’ve got to improve over the next two months if we want to beat them. They are leading La Liga, while we are a bit further behind. There is time, though we’ve got to do a lot better to knock them out.”
