Lazio director Igli Tare warns the injury crisis cannot be ‘an alibi’ for their Conference League play-off with CFR Cluj and trusts Maurizio Sarri to rotate the squad effectively.
It kicks off at the Stadionul Constantin Radulescu at 17.45 GMT.
Patric is suspended, with Alessio Romagnoli, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Mattia Zaccagni, Pedro and Stefan Radu injured.
“There can be no alibis over the line-up. We have to play the best possible game and try to do all we can to secure qualification,” Tare told Sky Sport Italia.
Between bans and fitness issues, Sarri has used over 20 different starting players in recent weeks, a huge number for someone who famously dislikes squad rotation.
“I think the full squad needs to be used and Sarri knows when it is the right moment to use each player. Those who play tonight have a big opportunity.”
