Alessio Tacchinardi has offered Arturo Vidal some advice, whilst reflecting that if he did want to leave Juventus, ‘it would be clear by now’.

The Chile international was apparently dropped from the Bianconeri’s first XI for the weekend win against Roma after reporting in for training late following an alleged nightclub incident the evening before.

Seen to have earned the player a €100,000 and pushed Juve’s patience ‘to the limit’, the situation has reignited talk of a possible move to Manchester United.

For one of the club’s former exponents in Vidal’s position on the pitch, the issue could have been avoided, but is likely to be resolved soon all the same.

“I did not expect and, being so close to Juve, I felt a little let down,” Tacchinardi has told Tuttosport today.

“But I also know that in football these things can happen. It is important to understand the error and to not commit any more.

“Vidal is one the strongest players in the world, one that I would always have in my team, and he must know that he always has all eyes on him.

“Nobody can forbid him going to a nightclub. Maybe he could defeat Roma and then stay out until eight in the morning, why not. But not before a match so important.

“If there are any issues outside of the football, or if he wants to go to another club, it should be clear by now and for sure the best solution will be found for everyone.

“But if he has in his head and heart only Juve, the attitude changes and he can go back to as before.

“Again, this is a champion, a stratospheric player who by himself can decide games. Defending, attacking and scoring goals. What more can a Coach ask for? Nothing.

“I am convinced that the situation will be resolved soon, enough talking.”

Tuttosport suggest that Vidal will meet with Beppe Marotta, Fabio Paratici and Max Allegri upon his return from international duty and be warned that ‘certain situations will no longer be tolerated’.

However, the Turin publication also reiterate that any negotiations with Manchester United in January would still have to be at Juve’s asking price, currently set at €45m.
