'The old Milan are coming back' belives their Spanish attacker Suso, adding that their current ranking 'doesn't surprise him'.
The 23-year-old also detailed his hopes for an international callup and a contract renewal with Milan.
"Our ranking does not surprise me, Suso told Gazzetta dello Sport. "I knew already this summer that this year would be good for us.
"Up until last year the difference between us and Juventus, Roma and Napoli was great, we are now proving to be among of the big clubs.

"If we continue like this we will return to become the ‘old’ Milan. The important thing is to score points, especially against smaller sides.
"Historically we always lose too many games away from home.
"I was hoping this would be the year of change for me, and I'm showing that playing with continuity has helped me.
"I would like to renew my contract, we are already talking about it, for me there are no problems.
"I would also like to play for the National team. If [Julen] Lopetegui gives opportunities to others, why not give one to me?"
Finally, Suso was asked for a social media hashtag for the Supercoppa match with Juventus on Friday.
"Winning to start over."
