Bologna have underlined their faith in boss Stefano Pioli after a traumatic start to Serie A 2013-14.
The Rossoblu find themselves in the relegation zone after collecting just three points from a possible 21 this season.
Their search for a first League win of the season on Sunday ended with a comprehensive 4-1 home defeat to newly-promoted Verona.
That loss only fuelled speculation that boss Pioli was fighting to save his job at the Stadio Dall’Ara.
“The last few performances of the team have highlighted a critical situation that everybody can see,” President Albano Guaraldi noted.
“Now comes a long break that we should use to analyse the mistakes made and regain our values as a team.
“There is one indisputable certainty though and that is Stefano Pioli who enjoys our confidence,” he continued.
“As has happened in the past, our Coach will be able to revive the team and get it out of this difficult situation.”
Bologna will face a trip to Sassuolo when Serie A resumes after the international break.
