Former Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni is reportedly a leading candidate to become the next manager of English club Aston Villa.
Calciomercato.com and Calciomercato.it cite reports in England, which claim Villa have targeted Stramaccioni to replace Steve Bruce.
Bruce’s position seems increasingly insecure as the former European Cup winners have won just three of their opening nine games in the EFL Championship.
However, a change would not be imminent as ‘the next few games will be decisive’ for the ex-Manchester United defender.

Stramaccioni, meanwhile, was considered one of Italian football’s most promising young Coaches after he guided Inter’s Primavera side to glory in the precursor to the UEFA Youth League in 2012.
The 42-year-old was then promoted to their first team but lasted barely more than a season and has since been sacked by Panathinaikos and Sparta Prague, as well as lasting only a single campaign at Udinese.
