Andrea Stramaccioni insists he was happy with Inter’s performance against Roma. “Qualification is wide open.”
The Nerazzurri were under constant pressure in the first half, but Rodrigo Palacio snatched a precious away goal for a 2-1 defeat in the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg.
“I liked Inter, because we did very well in the second half,” said Stramaccioni.
“We must compliment Roma, who built their victory in the first half, but the qualification is wide open and we will play everything in the 90 minutes at San Siro.
“Alvaro Pereira and Juan Jesus did well on the flanks, but we were naive in losing Alessandro Florenzi for his header.
“Overall I am satisfied with my team, as we went closer to making it 2-2 than Roma did to going 3-1 up.
“Now we will dive straight back into Serie A and then wait for Roma on April 17 at San Siro. Qualification is wide open and we will play in front of our fans.”
