Juventus goalkeeper Marco Storari revealed his anxiety after being involved in an emergency plane landing.
The shot-stopper had returned from the Champions League Final in Berlin on Saturday and was heading out on vacation to Catania with his family on Sunday evening.
He was on the Blue Air Boeing 737 that hit the headlines, as a tyre exploded during take-off from Turin’s Caselle Airport.
At that stage, it was already too late to abort the take-off, so the flight circled the city until everything was put in place to ensure a safe emergency landing.
“We heard a strange noise after take-off and were frightened, but at the start we didn’t understand what was happening,” said Storari.
“When we saw that the plane continued to circle round and round over Turin, we got suspicious and the anxiety increased.
“I have to thank the crew, as they were very efficient.”
