“Is there truth in the Milan rumours? I don’t know what the newspapers are saying,” Robert Jansen told Gazzetta Giallorossa.
“Now we are waiting for the player and the rest of the team to return from the American tour, so we can speak to the management and find a solution.
“Only after having that meeting with the club will we reach a final decision. At the moment, that is the situation.
“Will Stekelenburg leave Roma in January? I’ll have to speak to the club first.”
The Dutch international has been linked with a mid-season switch to Milan, where Christian Abbiati and Marco Amelia have not impressed.
