Dejan Stankovic insists that Inter are still in the title race despite currently being 13 points behind leaders Milan.
The Nerazzurri have had a problematic start to the season and have already shown boss Rafael Benitez the door.
However, Stankovic has dreams of a dramatic championship victory after winning five trophies in 2010.
"My hope for the New Year is a Scudetto comeback," noted the midfielder.

"My hope for the New Year is a Scudetto comeback," noted the midfielder.
"We have two games in hand and if we get six points from those then we are back in the hunt and people will start to fear us again.
"This year has been an unforgettable one for us. We wrote Inter history, in Italian, European and world football.
"This will remain in our minds and our hearts."
The former Lazio player is also confident that Inter have made the right choice in appointing Leonardo as their new Coach.
"There have been changes and changes always bring a positive reaction," he continued.
"The squad is the same and there is a great desire to win. We have experience and know how to face certain situations which football can bring up."
