Speculation is that should Clarence Seedorf come in as Milan Coach this summer, he will bring with him Jaap Stam as assistant.
Rumours are once more returning to the possibility of the Rossoneri’s former midfielder replacing Massimiliano Allegri on the San Siro bench, with it now confirmed Allegri is leaving at the end of the season.
The Corriera della Sera indicate that talks between Adriano Galliani and Seedorf took place recently, during the Vice-President’s visit to Rio de Janeiro, where the Dutchman is currently based with Botafogo.
Apparently discussing initial plans for his potential arrival in the summer, it is understood primarily that Seedorf would bring with him former Milan centre-back Jaap Stam as assistant Coach. The 41-year-old is currently occupying that same role with Ajax.
Also in Seedorf’s mind is a reported desire to strengthen Milan’s midfield and build around Riccardo Montolivo and Andrea Poli.
