Luciano Spalletti was still critical of Inter after they defeated Chelsea 2-1. “I don’t understand why we make certain errors when controlling the ball.”
The Nerazzurri won the Singapore section of the International Champions Cup thanks to victories over Lyon, Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
Today’s 2-1 win against Antonio Conte’s side saw them concede their only goal of the tournament – put into his own net from 40 yards out by Geoffrey Kondogbia.

“We did well up until the hour mark, then we started making mistakes,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
“I don’t understand why we make certain errors when controlling the ball. I don’t see why we should do well for 60-70 minutes and then give up, handing the advantage to a strong opponent who needs no extra help.
“Maybe it’s because we played two days ago against Bayern Munich and there was fatigue. With the players we’ve got, we should not be misplacing passes like that.
“We need to work on having more of a balance. You can get a dip in form, but not that big and that sudden. I do my work as best I can, it’s possible I lose intensity at times, but that doesn’t mean I crumble to nothing.”
Inter were under siege in the closing stages and Michy Batshuayi had a goal incorrectly flagged offside.
