Giuseppe Sabadini says he would want either Luciano Spalletti or Roberto Donadoni to be Milan Coach should Clarence Seedorf leave.
The Dutchman’s tenure has been placed in further doubt following an interview he conducted without the club’s permission.
Contrary to popular opinion, the former defender would not give the San Siro job to Pippo Inzaghi if it became available, hinting the former striker was too friendly with the players.
“Nowadays at Milan the rules aren’t how they used to be at one time,” Sabadini said to TuttoMercatoWeb.com.
“You can see there is discontent. The interview with Seedorf was done to show this publicly.
“For me it needs a Coach who is not a friend of the players or directors. For example, I don’t think it would be good to give Pippo Inzaghi the job.
“If I had to choose, I would say one of Spalletti and Donadoni. They are two Coaches who do things their own way and know how to deal with both players and the media.”
Sabadini was then asked about Rossoneri striker Mario Balotelli.
“I don’t think he can play as a central striker. He is a good dribbler but he is an average player in terms of the make-up of a team.
“People who say Balotelli doesn’t run much or runs less than others are right. Sometimes it seems like he goes out onto the pitch to do someone else a favour!”
