Coach Luciano Spalletti says Roma need more players like Mohamed Salah, and claims his relationship with captain Francesco Totti is 'perfect'.
The Giallorossi will be playing Al Ahly in a friendly tomorrow evening at 19:00 UK time, and today's Press conference understandably had a strong focus on Egyptian football.
“Having worked with Salah, I can say that we could do with another 4-5 players like him in the squad,” he told the Press. “I followed Egyptian football a little bit and saw a few games, in December we used to train here with Zenit St Petersburg.
“I couldn't name a single good player here, there are several quality footballers. My friend Walter Zenga keeps me up to date on situations. They play good and speedy football, they have the right qualities for Italian football
“In every game you try and give your best. Against opponents of this level we risk looking bad if we don't play seriously. I'll try fielding a strong formation, though there's going to be some turnover.”
Finally, Spalletti was asked about his relationship with Totti.
“I have a perfect relationship with him! When I sub him on, he scores, every time. He's really good.”
