Luciano Spalletti could have Piotr Zielinski back against Bologna tomorrow and insists Napoli’s only target is a top four finish. ‘We have what it takes to achieve that objective.’

It kicks off on Monday at 17.30 GMT at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

The absentee list remains extensive, including Lorenzo Insigne, David Ospina, Kalidou Koulibaly, Adam Ounas and Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa.

The good news is that Mario Rui and Piotr Zielinski have now tested negative for COVID-19.

“Zielinski trained at home, his isolation period ends tomorrow and he will have his medical tests, so he could join up with the squad,” said Spalletti in his press conference.

“In order to win games, it is fundamental we have players at our disposal who are in good shape. I predict the future will be brighter than the current difficult situation.”

Napoli were runaway Serie A leaders only a couple of months ago, but are now battling for a Champions League spot and crashed out of the Coppa Italia in extra time against Fiorentina midweek.

“We mustn’t worry about the teams challenging for a Champions League place. We want to finish in the top four and have what it takes to achieve that objective.

“We are only someone if we are able to make people happy. This team is capable of making an entire city happy.

“The Stadio Maradona is our home. We feel the affection of the city, we know what our objectives are and must have no alibis.”
