The Viola secured their spot in the Round of 32 with a 1-0 victory over Belenenses this evening, but Khouma Babacar did not celebrate the goal.
“He just has to think about scoring. I am happy for him and the team,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.
“I’d like to face an English team in the next round and there are several that we could be paired with in the draw. I really like the atmosphere of playing in England and we will be competitive.
“Manchester United? It’s great to play against these clubs and we want to honour the competition while giving the opportunity to those who don’t play as much to get some minutes in their legs.
“I am satisfied because we got through the group and my squad proved itself to be competitive. In February the situation will be different and we’ll see what happens.
“We have to make better decisions and move the ball quicker. When the intensity level drops, our style of football gets worse too. The team has understood the concepts and puts them into practice, but we have to keep them up throughout the entire season.”
Fiorentina face arch rivals Juventus in Serie A on Sunday and it’s a game against his former club.
“My job is all about emotions and excitement, so the game with Juve is just like any other, the important thing is to be there.”
