The Dutchman picked up an injury in last night’s 4-4 draw with Palermo and was replaced 20 minutes from the end of the game.

There were fears that he could now be facing another spell on the sidelines, but he’s used Twitter to calm anxious fans.

“Fortunately it’s nothing serious,” the former Real Madrid player wrote. “So I hope I can play in Rome…”

The Nerazzurri had launched an incredible fightback in the League and a run of seven consecutive victories saw them climb up to fourth in the standings.

However, Claudio Ranieri’s boys lost 1-0 at Lecce on Sunday and dropped two more points on Wednesday evening.

Sneijder, 27, has been limited to just 10 Serie A appearances so far this term due to injuries.
