Although he has denied speculation that he has already agreed a deal with a new outfit, he did suggest that he would consider a transfer at the end of the season.

“I see everything, I am not blind, but there is nothing concrete right now,” the Dutchman told Nos. “Manchester United? There has never been any concrete contact.

“I’m not in contact with any other club and I am living day by day. I am happy at Inter, but we will see…

“If on the last day of the transfer window an offer had arrived, maybe I would have left. The truth is that I feel at home at Inter, but I do not know where I will be playing next season.”

The former Real Madrid man, linked with Anzhi recently after the Russian club took Samuel Eto’o last summer, has also been paired with a switch to the USA.

“America is something I think about, but only in the future,” he continued. “I do not think I will play there next season.

“I have been to the USA with my wife Yolanthe because of her work. We will surely discuss it in the future, but not now.”
