Gigi Simoni thinks former club Napoli do have a serious chance of beating Juventus to the Scudetto this season.
Although the Old Lady are three points clear at the top of the table and the reigning champions, Simoni feels that the second-placed Azzurri have one big factor in their favour.
“Napoli will do all that is possible to catch Juventus and they both deserve their League positions right now,” the veteran tactician noted to Radio Kiss Kiss.
“Marek Hamsik is fundamental in his role for Napoli, as is Arturo Vidal for Juventus, but Napoli have something that Juve don’t – and that is Edinson Cavani.
“The Bianconeri, although scoring regularly, don’t have a principal striker and that is the strength of the Azzurri.”
Cavani has 18 League goals in 20 Serie A games this term.
Sebastian Giovinco, Alessandro Matri, Fabio Quagliarella and Mirko Vucinic have scored a combined 23 goals for Juve.
