“We have knocked three big clubs out so far, all of whom had bigger budgets and more competitive squads, and yet we eliminated them,” President Castro told Canal Sur.
Sevilla saw off Cluj, Roma, Wolves and Manchester United in the knock-out rounds, after winning their group.

“We know it’s difficult, but also that we are transformed in this competition and are capable of achieving anything. Inter have double our budget and are having a magnificent tournament, but I like difficult challenges.”
Sevilla are serial Europa League winners, ending up victorious in all five previous Finals in 2006, 2007, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
“We know what Finals are like. There are other clubs preparing for the next season, while we are proud to instead be competing for silverware.
“If we should close the campaign with the Europa League trophy, it’d be a huge success. That’s what we want to achieve.”
