The home side fell 1-0 down after only 11 minutes, with Rey Manaj giving Thiago Motta’s team an early advantage. The Ligurian side failed to keep up this intensity, however, allowing Bologna to creep back into the match.
Arnautovic scored the equaliser a handful of minutes before half time and netted the vital winner in the 84th minute to secure all three points for Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side.
