Mino Raiola says that Mario Balotelli is staying at Manchester City, while United’s Paul Pogba would only move to Italy for first team football.
The agent represents both players and discussed their futures with Tuttosport on Wednesday morning.
“Balotelli wants to stay at City,” the representative noted. “He’s happy there and there are no Italian clubs who are tempting him.”
Milan are known to be big admirers of the former Inter player who has again been left out of the Italy squad for disciplinary reasons.
Azzurri boss Cesare Prandelli has introduced a strict code of ethics into the national set-up and stated on Monday that he expects a call from Balotelli.
“Why should Mario phone him?” responded Raiola. “For what? So he can cry and moan about not being selected?”
Turning to French teenager Pogba, the agent insisted that the player would only consider a switch to Serie A for one reason – to play.
“We firstly have to discuss a possible renewal with United, then we could talk to other clubs if needed.
“However, if he arrived in Italy, then it would be to play immediately and not to mature.”
The midfielder, 18, is understood to be on the radar of Juventus and Milan.
